UNIT 1: WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
1.1 What do they expect me to do now? - Reflection questions
- Journal questions (Create a private blog page on your weebly and share the url with me)
1.2 Am I strong enough?
What are your talents/gifts that God has blessed you with? How do you share these talents/gifts with the community?
Tasks: - after pages 13-15 have been read to you, complete the 'gifts' sheet
Next, select ONE of the following activities to complete:
A) THINK - PAIR- SHARE - write down three gifts or talents that you have and one way that each of these talents makes the world the kind of place God wants it to be - join with a partner and share your list - think of three more things that might be added to your partner's list B) ACROSTIC - write your name on one side of a sheet of paper. Then, after each letter of your name, illustrate one gift, talent, or Christian quality that begins with the same letter. LAST --> How can we develop and share our gifts with the community? CREATE a business card to show-off your talents! - develop a business card that names your strength in terms of your gift of the Holy Spirit (ex.. 'Consultant in widsom') - identify on your card how you can help others or how you can help others develop their gifts. 1.3 What does it really take to win?

- after you read your assigned section on holiness, create a collage or cartoon that depicts your holiness theme, and what happens when people encounter God in that way. Be creative! Positive Encounters!
Has someone made your day? Have they cheered you up, or made you realize you are loved? Have they made a difference in your day? Over the course of the next month, you will complete numerous blog posts on your weebly about positive encounters you have had with people. Write at least 4 reflections about the small things someone does for you, Be sure to comment on how you were feeling before, and after, the encounter! Lastly, mention how you will try to consciously 'pay it forward'. 2.2 How do i fit in?What does is mean to belong? Complete one of the following:
- Acrostic of BELONGING OR poem about belonging 2.3 What can I do when my life seems to be falling apart?When the going gets tough... how do you cope?
Share what you do to get through the tough stuff... maybe you journal? Or read a good book? Or talk to someone you trust? Create a short video where you are giving yourself advice about how to deal with tough situations. You will play both yourself giving the advice, and yourself taking the advice. SHARE THE LOVE! |
